What is our Domain worth? Dotlog evaluate a a domain name using a Six Variable criteria which follows an heuristic approach¹; it conforms our valuation model. Our scientific methodology considers variables whose parameters are mathematical validated.

Our appraisal main features:

1) Each Domain we appraise, involves a research process that is individually performed.
2) We appraise the domain name, we do not valuate developed websites or its web business merits.
3) Our valuation model considers Six Variables included Past Sales and Trend Markets. Our heuristic approach applies statistical analysis in order to come up with an extremely objective value for the Domain.
4) According to the dynamics of the domain industry our appraisal is based on the current value.

As documentation of our proprietary valuation model, we present eleven appraisals (random selection from a set of one hundred appraisals) and the corresponding final Domain sales.

"When we state 'a heuristic approach' in our Domain appraisal model, we are meaning to find a 'value' ('solution') to a Domain name using a non conventional way ('approach') to solve difficult problems ('a price').

"Heuristic approach" is art and science combined, which arises when there is not exist a deterministic and mathematical way available to solve the problematic situation. "Heuristic approach" is not an algorithm itself, is not an "invariant procedure", is an own person guideline employing his experience dealing with problems, and employing scientific tools."
